Royal Academy of Dance Examinations

We encourage all our ballet students from Primary upwards to participate in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examinations and Class Awards, as they offer a wonderful sense of achievement and the opportunity to work towards attainable goals. We aim to make this process an exciting and enjoyable experience that both challenges and engages students in their own learning.

For graded students the minimum class requirement to participate in the examination process is two syllabus classes and one body conditioning class per week.

For vocational students, the minimum requirement is for two syllabus classes, one pointe class and a pilates per week in order to participate in the exam process.

We also offer special preparation classes and a mock examination which are compulsory components of the examination process. Please see the term dates timetable for the dates proposed for the coming year.
